Smart water offers a free education programme to schools within Waipā, Waitomo and Hamilton City Council areas. Our lessons are focussed around valuing water and how to use it in an efficient way.

  • Where does water comes from / Water Cycle?
  • How does water get to your home?
  • Why should we be careful with water use?
  • Why we need to treat water & how we treat it
  • How much water we use & how to measure what we use 
  • How we can use water more wisely?
  • Shower timer and pledge stickers provided to take home to whanau.


What can Smart Water do for me?

  • Provide a water conservation-focused lesson to students
  • Provide you with freshwater-themed educational resources
  • Provide teaching resources, reading material and links to compliment your studies on the topic of water.
  • We can also suggest other organisations that can compliment your studies in this field.
