From today, water sprinklers can only be used during restricted times in Waipā, as the district has moved into water alert level one.

With a sticky summer on the way, Hamilton City, Waikato District, and Waipā District Councils are reminding everyone across the Waikato to be smart about how they use water. 

Cooler temperatures, forecasted rain, and water saving efforts from residents means Water Alert Level 1 is no longer needed in Hamilton.

Water restrictions have been lifted for the Waipā District from today.

Hamilton City and Waipā District will move to Water Alert Level 1 from today (Tuesday 11 February).
